| If your cleaner is not performing as it should, ALWAYS check the following: |
- Is the filter clean?
- Is the leaf basket clean?
- Is debris blocking the bottom of pool cleaner? Make sure all sections are pushed together properly or check hose for leaks and replace
- Are there any leaks in the hose?
- Is the automatic regulator valve in you Skimmer Box free of debris?
- Is the Main Drain Port closed in the Skimmer Box?
- Is the Wearing Flap Set worn?
|
| TIP! Optimising water flow does not mean maximizing flow through the cleaner. Excessive suction may make your cleaner hug the base or the pool walls. In fact, to ensure a random pattern of travel that will enable the pool cleaner to reach all areas of the pool, it is better to use less suction, not more. |
| If the pool cleaner is not moving or is pulsating slowly: |
- Check to ensure that the main drain and all suction lines are closed, except for the skimmer box or suction line to which the pool cleaner is attached.
- Check for debris in the filter or pump basket.
- Check for debris in the pool cleaner flapper. Debris may prevent flapper movement or restrict flow.
|
| If the pool cleaner tracks in a repetitive pattern: |
- Check the return line water flow and redirect as necessary with a return line diverter.
- Check the pool cleaner's hose to ensure it has not become bent or kinked. (Do not coil the hose. It will retain the coil shape and hinder the cleaning coverage.) One way to check for kinks in your hose is to disconnect each hose and lay it flat on your pool's deck (or other flat surface) and look down the length of hose. The hose should be perfectly straight and flat. If bends or kinks are present in a sectional hose, replace those hose sections. The very best performance can only be obtained using a pool cleaner genuine sectional hose, or preferably a genuine continuous hose.
