Seasonal changes in Monitor Lights
Throughout the year, water temperatures will vary. Winter 6-8
green lights are normally acceptable. But Through Summer
please ensure maximum output can be achieved (i.e. All 10 lights
can come on). Then leave or adjust if too much chlorine is
produced.

Do’s & Don’ts

1. Never run cell without good water flow through it.
2. Switch off control unit for operations when water does not return through cell, e.g. backwashing or vacuuming to waste.
3. Super-chlorinate once a fortnight during swimming season by either extending running time of the chlorinator or dosing manually.
4. Do not use calcium hypochlorite. Use of this causes a more rapid build up on cell.
5. Maintain correct water balance. Especially Stabilizer (Sunscreen-Cyanuric Acid)
6. Maintain recommended pH level. High pH can cause build up on cell plates and reduce effectiveness of the chlorine. Only use sufficient acid to maintain pH levels.
7. Maintain pool stabilizer level. Lack of stabilizer will cause excessive chlorine losses and possible inability of chlorinator or maintain chlorine level.
8. Good water circulation in pool is necessary for efficient distribution of chlorine.
9. If you are unable to operate filter or chlorinator, maintain chlorine level by dosing as described in conditioning of pool.
10. Vacuum pool regularly. (If no automatic cleaner).
11. Maintain Filter. Poor filtration will cause increase build up on plates.
